Claudia Wilde is a self taught fine-art/documentary photographer born in Austria and currently based on Gubbi Gubbi/Kabi Kabi Country on the East Coast of Australia.

Her passion for photography is deeply rooted in her own desire for connection and unveiling the many human truths behind complex subject matters. Her work is driven by a lifelong interest to better understand human nature, in particular of those facing and overcoming great challenges.

To fulfil a personal need and longing for human interaction during the beginning of the pandemic she began documenting her journey as a mother and soon found great fulfilment in providing safe environments for other mothers to share and allow their stories and often traumas to surface, be felt, seen and documented.

She is currently working on two personal, long-term photographic projects ‘Beneath the surface’ and ‘Held’ as well as an ongoing series ‘Foreign Landscapes’ which documents the journey of moving onto a rural acreage property and exploring what it means to be stewards of a land she hasn’t grown roots in.

Claudia’s work has been featured in Vogue Germany as well as Photo Vogue.
